Order a cloud server
Choose a plan, pick where it runs and what it runs, pay online, and your server is created.
A cloud server is a computer in a data centre that you control over the internet. You can order one yourself, any time.
Steps
- Open the pricing page and find the plan you want. Not sure which? Read Choose a plan and a location.
- Press Order now on that plan to order just that server. To order several at once, use Add to cart instead and read Order several servers with the cart. Sign in or create an account if asked.
- Fill in the order form:
- Server name: a short name you will recognise, such as
web-1. Use letters, numbers, dots and hyphens. - Location: the city where the server runs.
- Operating system: the software it starts with, such as Ubuntu.
- Billing: monthly, or yearly where the plan has a yearly price.
- Server name: a short name you will recognise, such as
- Check the amount shown under Due today, then press Place order and pay.
- Pay on the secure payment page. See Pay an invoice online.
What happens next
As soon as your payment is confirmed, we create the server. This usually takes a few minutes. We email you when it is ready, and it appears under Servers in your account with its address and login.
Your first invoice is created when you place the order. If you leave without paying, the order stays unpaid. You can pay it later from your invoices, or withdraw it from the server page.
Limits
You can have up to five unpaid orders at one time. Pay or withdraw one before ordering another.
If something looks wrong, read My server is not ready yet.
