Refund and return policy

We sell digital services, so there is nothing to ship back. This page says what we refund, for how long, and how the money returns to you.

Returns

Hosting, servers, domains and software are delivered online. There are no physical goods to return, and no return shipping costs. If we ever supply a physical item, we cover the return shipping for an item that arrived faulty or was not what you ordered.

What you can get refunded

Hosting and cloud servers

You can ask for a full refund within 7 days of your first payment for a service. After that, payments are not refunded for the period already started, but you can cancel so it does not renew (see the cancellation policy). Renewal payments are refundable within 3 days of the payment if you have not used the renewed period. We may refuse a refund if the service was suspended for breaking our terms.

Domain names

A domain is registered with a third-party registry as soon as you pay, and registries do not return those fees. We refund a domain only if we could not register it, or if we made a mistake in the order.

Software projects

Custom work is paid in the steps set out in your quote or agreement. Money for work already delivered is not refundable. If we cannot deliver a step we have been paid for, we refund that step.

Duplicate or wrong charges

If you were charged twice, or charged an amount that does not match your invoice, we refund the difference in full, whatever the date.

How to ask

  1. Open a support ticket from your account, or email info@buildit.com.bd.
  2. Give the invoice number and say why you want the refund.
  3. We reply within one working day and tell you whether it is approved.

How long a refund takes

Once approved, we send the refund to the original payment method through SSLCOMMERZ within 3 working days. Your bank, card issuer or mobile wallet then needs to credit it: typically 5 to 10 working days for cards and bank accounts, and up to 3 working days for mobile wallets. If it has not arrived after that, send us the invoice number and we will trace it with the gateway.

If the original payment method is no longer available, we agree another way with you. The refund is in the same currency as the payment, and any gateway or bank charges that were taken from the original payment are not added to it.
